The Fame Game is an upcoming Netflix drama thriller series directed by Bejoy Nambiar (Navarsa) and Karishma Kohli (The Woman Under the Tree).
Details on the series’ plot are scarce, with most information about the series coming from a recently shared trailer on YouTube.
The show will follow the investigation into the life and personal affairs of famous actress Anamika Anand (Madhuri Dixit) after she mysteriously disappears from her family home.

The Fame Game release date and time on Netflix
The release date of The Fame Game has been confirmed by the series’ page on Netflix and will premiere worldwide via the streaming platform on Friday, February 25.
The Fame Game Season 1 will consist of eight separate episodes, all releasing at the same time on February 25, according to IMDB:
- Pacific Time: 12 AM PST
- Eastern Time: 3 AM EST
- British Time: 8 a.m. GMT
- India Time: 1.30 PM IST
- Philippine time: 4pm PHT
The official trailer of The Fame Game was shared on Netflix India’s YouTube channel on February 10, garnering over 330,000 views in a matter of hours, the number now stands at 18.5 million!
Return of the Madhuri Dixit
Netflix’s The Fame Game has a stellar cast of both veteran and rising stars from the Indian entertainment industry; However, the series is led by one and only Madhuri Dixit.
Dixit is finally making her long-awaited return to the small screen, mainly appearing in cinema projects for the past several decades.
In fact, her last television appearance where she was not acting as a judge or host for a variety show was back in 1985 with Paying Guest on DD National!
The 54-year-old legend of the Hindi cinema industry has appeared in over 70 Bollywood films and is known for his roles in Dil To Pagal Hai (1997), Devdas (2002), Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013), Dedh. Ishqiya (2014) and Kalank (2019).
A father-daughter partnership on The Fame Game
While every fan of Dixit will be counting down the hours until The Fame Game premieres on Netflix, this isn’t the only major casting story to come from the upcoming series.
Veteran filmmaker Sanjay Kapoor will be seen with his daughter Shanaya Kapoor in this series. Speaking with Pinkvilla, Sanjay revealed how “Of course I would be very excited, any father would be excited for a child, be it in front of the screen or whatever he does in life.”
He then explains that “For us, he chose this line, it’s a great line, we all love it, our whole family is [in it], but he would have chosen anything [and], as much as I would have been excited.”
“Coming back to his daughter, I feel that Karan treats these newcomers like his kids, that is the most important thing for him. Whenever he goes for shoots, I feel very calm as a father. I think there is someone who is there. [Actually] why, even when we were shooting in Nashik, Dharma makes sure we are all very comfortable and that’s what you want from a producer.
