It leads to toxicity in the body and increases the chances of cardiac and cognitive disorders

When used oil is reheated, it releases a higher concentration of various toxic chemicals like aldehydes that are linked to multiple health issues like heart-related disease, cognitive issues like dementia, Alzheimer’s, and Alzheimer’s disease. Parkinson.  Also, another poisonous substance that is released when oil is overheated is 4-hydroxy-trans-2-nominal (HNE), which is poisonous and quite toxic to the body and can interfere with the bodily functions of DNA, RNA, and proteins.

Paves the way for lower LDL (bad) cholesterol levels

By cooking oil at a high temperature, some fats are converted into trans fats.  And when this smoked black oil is reheated, it releases even higher amounts of trans fats which are extremely bad for your overall health.  Following the same process over a longer period of time brings you closer to health complications like stroke, obesity, chest pain, stomach pain, indigestion, and even heart disease, since high consumption of trans fats raises cholesterol levels LDL in the body.

It gives you acidity and burning sensation

Reusing cooking oil leads to a poisonous process known as rancidity.  After a little exposure to moisture, air or light, the oils go through incomplete or complete oxidation and this process is known as rancidity.  Every time the oil goes through the heating process, its particles become modified and give a bad taste and odor to the oil and to the food cooked in it.  Consumption of such oil and foods can increase the risk of heartburn, burning sensation in the stomach, throat problems and many more.

Raise the risk of inflammation and cancer

A carcinogen is a substance that is associated with the formation of cancer in the body.  Reheating cooking oils increases the harmful substances they contain, such as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and aldehydes, which are linked to a high risk of cancer and inflammation in the body.  Also, if you have been suffering from high inflammation for a longer period of time, then the culprit may be the consumption of bad or reused cooking oil.  If not treated properly, this can lower immunity and make you more prone to various diseases and infections.
